And a HAPPY New Year

We have had a tremendously blessed 2009.

Looking forward to an even better 2010.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

26 May 2009

Obviously, it's been a while since I've posted any pictures. I'll just let this serve as a brief recap of our spring thus far (being that it's almost summer and all).

There was Easter. We were supposed to have folks over for dinner that day, but the Boy woke up with a 103 degree fever, so he got to hunt eggs on his own this year (more candy for him, was his thinking!). Just a quick shot of the lovely tulips that I cut from the yard. The dog decided he could dig to China in our backyard. He didn't quite make it, but he got quite dirty in the process. The Boy found a garter snake in the backyard, as well. We've seen this guy a few times since then, but always from a distance. The Boy also participated in his gymnastics (which he calls "matchsticks") "Flip Fest". We were quite proud of him (I think he's quite proud of himself, too).

Exciting News!

We've known for a little while now, but we wanted to wait until after our first Dr.'s appointment to make any big announcements. Here's the first photo of our newest addition - due on or about November 10.

March Retrospective

The weather this month has been highly conducive to spending time outside. We've been to the park quite a few times, and the boy is loving it.
The one weekened it rained pretty heavily, we decided to meet some friends at the local Natural History Museum - they have an exhibit about Dinosaurs. The kids mostly liked playing with the bubbles in Sensing Nature and running around in the interactive exhibits. The boy thought this was pretty cool, too. Since then, it's been perfect weather for enjoying our deck. Most recently, we went on a hike with family at Sawnee Mountain Preserve. If you haven't been to this park, you should definitely check it out. They have all kinds of facilities (like treehouses and playgrounds) and activities for children of all ages, and it's educational as well as fun. It was a great family outing - even the little kids enjoyed themselves.

Happy Spring!
